How to Add Late Fees?

Steps to Add Late Fee on Chargezoom


1. Create Late Fee Product or Service

  • Go to Products and Services:
    • In Chargezoom, navigate to the Products and Services tab.
    • If you haven’t already created a product or service for late fees, click Add New.


  • Create a New Product/Service:
    • Name the product/service something like “Late Fee” or similar.
    • Set the appropriate price for the late fee (e.g., a flat fee or percentage).
  • Save the New Product/Service:
    • Once the product is created, save it to ensure it's available for invoicing.


2. Editing an Invoice

  • Go to the Invoices Tab:
    • Navigate to the Invoices tab in Chargezoom to start a new invoice.



  • Add Late Fee Line Item:
    • When editing the invoice, click Add Line Item.
    • Select the Late Fee product/service that you previously created.
    • The price will be displayed correctly based on what you set up in the product or service.


  • Complete the Invoice:
    • Add other necessary details such as the customer, date, and any other items that are part of the invoice.
    • Save or send the invoice as needed.

3. Confirm the Late Fee is Added

  • Review the Invoice:
    • Double-check that the late fee has been added as a separate line item and that it appears correctly on the invoice.
  • Send Invoice to Customer:
    • Once everything is confirmed, you can send the invoice to your customer directly from Chargezoom.
